Gallery of Walkerloo Soldier PaintingsThese pictures are scans of the original gouache paintings I made to create my toy soldier army. Each began as a pencil sketch from a photograph of me pretending to be a soldier in my back garden. I placed several characters on a sheet to economise on the Bristol board. I made the riders without horses because I don't like painting horses and it also helped economise on the surface area to be scanned. Most of the soldiers were cut from their original Bristol sheets so I could arrange them effeciently for scanning and copying in the build process. The final scans for print were made professionally in London and it was an expensive process. I enjoy the funny juxtopositions of the horseless riders they're my favourites! They are all for sale. £500.00 for the horseless rider pairs. The rest are £150.00/ figure. The paintings are unframed and sold through e-mail application.
I'll add more paintings when I've more time. If you have a favourite soldier and would like to buy the original painting e-mail me! |
